Setup of SoftActivity monitoring software with ESET NOD32 Antivirus

ESET NOD32 Antivirus may detect Activity Monitor or SoftActivity Keylogger on your computer as Potentially Unwanted Program(PUP) or Win32/Spy.ActivityMonitor.D or Win32/KeyLogger.ActivityMonitor.AG threat. In fact, there is no virus in SoftActivity software. It only does what is declared in its features on this website, i.e. records your employees or children’s computer activity with the computer’s owner permission.

To prevent ESET NOD32 Antivirus from detecting this threat you will need to exclude SoftActivity destination folder or thread name from scans as described below.

Follow ESET instructions on how to exclude files or folders from scanning

For Activity Monitor on the supervisor’s PC and server you will need to exclude this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SoftActivity\Activity Monitor

On monitored computers exclude this Activity Monitor Agent installation folder:
It is recommended to add an exclusion prior to initiating a remote installation of Agent to avoid any detection by ESET.

For SoftActivity TS Monitor software on your company’s terminal server exclude this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SoftActivity\TS Monitor

For SoftActivity Keylogger (our monitoring product for parental control) you will need to exclude:
C:\Windows\syspkgwk folder (copy from here and paste into the antivirus).

The destination folder will not exist before you install the program. So you will need to copy the folder name from here and create an exclusion in advance.
